At the European Parliament in Strasbourg, a meeting was held between representatives of the Organization of KLA War Veterans (OVL-UÇK) and Austrian MEP Lukas Mandl.
The Chairman of OVL-UÇK, Hysni Gucati, and Deputy Chairman Gazmend Syla, presented their concerns regarding developments at the Special Court, emphasizing the importance of protecting the dignity of the liberation war and the values upon which the state of Kosovo was built.
MEP Mandl, known for his continuous support for Kosovo, was informed by the OVL-UÇK representatives about their demands and positions, pledging to convey them to his colleagues in the European Parliament and to the institutions of his country.
The meeting was considered by OVL-UÇK as an important step in efforts to raise international awareness and build partnerships in defense of truth and justice.
“Mr. Mandl listened carefully and with understanding to our positions, for which we sincerely thank him. We appeal to him to convey this message to his colleagues in the European Parliament and the relevant institutions of his country, thereby giving voice and support to our just cause. This meeting represents a meaningful step in our efforts to sensitize international opinion and to build sustainable partnerships in defense of truth and justice,” the statement reads.
