The Organization of KLA War Veterans (OVL-UÇK) has expressed gratitude to all citizens who participated in today’s protest in The Hague, demanding justice for former KLA leaders currently held in detention.
In a statement, OVL-UÇK emphasized that the protest carried a “clear and united message”:
“Special thanks to the diaspora, former fighters, citizens, and the media who joined today’s protest organized by the categories that emerged from the KLA war. Our collective message was clear: Not in My Name!” the organization wrote on Facebook.
During the rally, OVL-UÇK chairman Hysni Gucati addressed the crowd, urging the international community not to ignore what he described as major injustices:
“The democratic world must not close its eyes to such great injustices. We call on the international actors not to punish Kosovo for its freedom. Justice must be the same for everyone. We are here to say that we will not allow the sacrifice of Kosovo to be trampled upon.”
The protest drew participation from both Kosovo citizens and members of the diaspora, aiming to raise awareness of concerns over the fairness of the Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
