Former Foreign Minister Paskal Milo has emphasized the historical importance of Albania’s contribution to Kosovo, describing it as one of the brightest moments in national diplomacy.
Milo highlighted that the year 1912 marks the greatest national diplomatic contribution any Albanian government has made for the Albanian nation.
According to him, the diplomacy and government of that time wrote a brilliant chapter in the modern history of Albania. He pointed out that the historical injustice of the London Conference, which left Kosovo outside Albania’s borders, was finally being corrected.
“The contribution of the Albanian government at that time was extraordinary,” Milo stated. He emphasized that Albania managed to build a reliable partnership with the United States and NATO countries thanks to the effective decision-making of all state structures. “At that time, we were an active part of the decision-making,” he added.
Unification of the Albanian Factor
One of the key points highlighted by Milo was that “the issue of Kosovo unified the Albanian factor.”
“This national unity played a vital role in addressing the issue of Kosovo on the international stage and in consolidating Albania’s position as a trustworthy partner. Milo’s historical perspective offers insight into the importance of unity and diplomacy during critical moments in national history.”
