Passing of Shpat Kasapi, Municipality of Tetova Declares December 1 a Day of Mourning

The Municipality of Tetova held an extraordinary session this Sunday, during which it decided to declare Monday, December 1st, a day of mourning.

The day of mourning has been declared due to the death of singer Shpat Kasapi, who was laid to rest this Sunday.

Shpat Kasapi made a significant contribution to the development of culture and music in the Municipality of Tetova, the Republic of North Macedonia, and the Albanian music scene.

Shpat Kasapi passed away at the age of 40 on Wednesday after a heart attack. Kasapi was one of the most well-known names in Albanian music and had numerous hits beloved across all age groups.

His career began in the early 2000s, and he was an idol for many generations. Some of his hits include: “Valle Kosovare,” “Kush të ndau prej meje,” “Dashni pa limit,” “Aroma e saj” and many others. Kasapi leaves behind a son.
