The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has filed a request with the Constitutional Court to annul the recent decision of the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), which, according to the party, has forcibly moved around 1,300 businesses into the so-called free market.

PDK Warns of Economic Consequences

PDK MP Abelard Tahiri stated that the decision puts hundreds of thousands of jobs at risk and could cause serious damage to Kosovo’s economy. The party also submitted a request for a temporary suspension of the ZRRE decision until the Constitutional Court fully reviews the case.

Today, on behalf of PDK and in defense of the public interest, jobs, and the economy of our country, we submitted a request to the Constitutional Court to annul the ZRRE decision, which has forcibly pushed 1,300 businesses into the so-called free market. This move endangers hundreds of thousands of jobs and threatens the few producers and entrepreneurs who keep our economy alive,” Tahiri emphasized.

Request for Temporary Measures

PDK stressed that the immediate suspension of the decision is necessary to prevent further damage until the court rules on the matter.
