Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated on Tuesday that there is growing information, evidence, and facts regarding the so-called “Sarajevo Safari” case, emphasizing that its investigation and trial should be handled by a special international judicial body.
Kurti’s remarks prompted a response on the social platform X from Serbia’s chief negotiator in the Kosovo–Serbia dialogue, Petar Petković.
Petković claimed that what he described as “coordinated attacks” against Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić are based on “fabricated scenarios” aimed at dehumanizing him. He dismissed the allegations related to “Sarajevo Safari” as false and previously denied.
In his post, Petković further stated that such efforts “will not succeed,” adding that, according to him, “the day of judgment will come when Kurti will answer for all crimes against Serbs.”
The exchange marks another escalation in rhetoric between officials from Kosovo and Serbia, amid ongoing political tensions and the EU-facilitated dialogue process.
