Petrit Hajdari has officially been confirmed as the Democratic Party of Kosovo’s (PDK) candidate for Mayor of Drenas.

In a public statement, Hajdari expressed gratitude to PDK Chairman Memli Krasniqi and the party’s leadership structures for the trust they have placed in him.

“Drenas is the place where I grew up and the reason I entered politics,” Hajdari emphasized, adding that his journey with PDK has been long, challenging, and a source of pride.

He called for broad civic unity and cooperation, referring to Drenas as “the only and common address” for all.

Hajdari also highlighted the historical role of Drenas in key state-building moments, urging citizens to rally around the values of PDK, inherited from its founding leaders.

At the end of his message, Hajdari expressed confidence in victory and extended a hand of cooperation to all citizens, regardless of political beliefs, stressing that “the future of our children is what must unite us.”

The upcoming elections for Mayor of Drenas are expected to be a significant contest for PDK, which has traditionally considered the municipality a stronghold.
