A tourist plane crash in Kenya has resulted in the deaths of 10 European tourists and one local pilot, authorities reported, according to the BBC.

The aircraft was flying from the popular beach resort Diani to a landing strip in the renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve when it crashed at 05:30 local time (02:30 GMT), the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) confirmed.

The operator, Mombasa Air Safari, stated that the victims included eight Hungarians, two Germans, and the Kenyan pilot, all of whom died in the crash.

A spokesperson added, “Our main focus now is to provide all possible support to the families affected.”
