The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has accused Serbia of hindering progress in the dialogue for the normalization of relations, stating that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is harboring the leader of the terrorist group from Banjska, Milan Radoičić. He also blamed the mediators for failing to fulfill their roles.
In an interview with “politico.eu,” Kurti stated that “Serbia’s approach is not aimed at normalizing relations with Kosovo.”
As the portal reports, this statement was made a day after Kurti attended a lunch organized by the European Commission in Brussels with the leaders of the Western Balkans. “How is it possible to say yes to the Ohrid Agreement but refuse to sign it?” Kurti added.
The Prime Minister also provided details about the meetings in the dialogue with Vučić. Even though they were in the same meeting last week, the two leaders did not speak directly, according to “politico.eu.”
“When he speaks, I do not interrupt. Whenever I speak, he complains,” Kurti said of Vučić.
Kurti accused the Serbian government of continually violating the agreement and sheltering the chief terrorist Milan Radoičić, who has taken responsibility for last year’s attack. “Radoičić is free and protected in Serbia and financed by Serbia,” he said.
At one point, Kurti also blamed European Union diplomats, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell, and the special envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák.
“The problem is that Mr. Borrell and Mr. Lajčák do not blow the whistle when there are violations. Imagine a referee walking around a football field without a whistle,” Kurti remarked.
