Poland is investing almost £2bn to boost security on its eastern border.

This is what Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced, saying that this is an attempt to defend itself against what it describes as a growing threat from Russia and Belarus.

“We have decided to invest 10 billion zlotys in our security and above all in a secure eastern border,” Tusk said at a press conference, KlanKosova.tv reports.

“We are embarking on a major project to build a secure border, including a system of fortifications, as well as landscape and environmental decisions that will make it impossible for a potential enemy to cross this border.”
