Police Action in Pristina: Firearms Seized, Several Arrested and Fined

In operations conducted last week, the Kosovo Police in the Pristina region seized 14 firearms of various types, arrested several individuals sentenced to imprisonment, and issued fines to others.

Court Orders Executed and Arrests Made

According to the police, these actions were carried out based on court orders. “Police officers from the Pristina region, during the past week, executed 156 court orders in various locations and separate operations. In accordance with these orders, after the completion of police procedures, individuals sentenced to imprisonment were sent to serve their sentences, while those fined were released after fulfilling their obligations specified in the orders,” the report states.

Weapons Seized and Traffic Fines Issued

The police further announced that activities extended to other security segments, resulting in the seizure of 14 firearms and the issuance of over 4,000 traffic fines.

“In the same time period, 4,145 administrative measures (fines) were issued for various types of offenses and violations of the road code, 804 of which were identified by smart cars and mobile radar vehicles,” the announcement emphasized.
