Police finds and confiscates weapons and ammunition in the attic of a house in Zveqan.

On April 21, 2024, around 10:30 AM, the Kosovo Police received information that there are suspected illegal weapons in a house in the small village of Zveqan. Following official protocol, the prosecutor in charge was notified, and with their authorization, police officers conducted a search operation of the house. Two AK-47 firearms, several magazines, a quantity of ammunition, and a stun gun were found and confiscated from the attic.”

The police stated that they “have information regarding the male Serbian suspect to whom the house belongs, who is believed to be in Serbia.”

The police emphasized that this case is unrelated to the ongoing voting process in the North.

“It is worth noting that this case is unrelated to the voting process for or against the removal of the Mayors of the Municipalities of North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposaviq, and Zveqan.
