The Vice President of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Glauk Konjufca, has reacted to the tragic murder of a police officer in Kaçanik on the night of April 1. He has urged for a swift and thorough investigation to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
Konjufca’s Statement
“I call for the most comprehensive and swiftest investigation possible so that the perpetrator or perpetrators of this crime are brought to justice. My sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Sergeant Muhamed Lika,” said Konjufca.
Incident Details
The officer was shot at around 11:00 PM at the entrance of his building on “Idriz Seferi” street in Kaçanik. Emergency teams transported him to the Kaçanik Medical Center, where doctors confirmed his death due to the sustained gunshot wounds.
Ongoing Investigation
The spokesperson for the Ferizaj Regional Police, Kanun Veseli, stated that authorities are working intensively to solve the case. However, no suspects have been arrested yet, and the motives behind the crime remain unclear.
The murder has shocked the public, with other political figures also calling for stricter measures to prevent such crimes.
