The Regional Unit for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption in Prizren, in cooperation with the Kosovo Tax Administration (KTA) and with assistance from the Regional Police Directorate, conducted an inspection operation at 21 parking lots in the city of Prizren, reports Rks News.
This operation, coordinated with the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren, aimed to prevent and investigate the criminal offense of “Tax Evasion.”
During the inspection, various violations were identified, including the failure to issue fiscal receipts at all inspected parking lots, the identification of 9 unregistered workers, the absence of fiscal cash registers at 5 parking lots, as well as the discovery of 2 unregistered businesses and 2 businesses without rental contracts.
Tax Administration inspectors will take procedural actions in each case, while the Kosovo Police will continue legal proceedings related to the criminal offense of “Tax Evasion.”
