The regional police of Kosovo in Mitrovica have provided details about today’s operation to seize illegal weapons in the north.
Veton Elshani, the Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the northern region, stated that as part of operational activities in collaboration with the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), they managed to identify several locations where hidden weapons were stored by former members of the Civil Protection and members of the Banjka terrorist group.
The first location is in the northern part of Mitrovica, near the Three Towers, and is linked to the wanted person, Marjan Radojeviq. The second location is on “Miners’ Squad” street, in northern Mitrovica, linked to the wanted individual, Zharko Cvetkoviq.

At the second location, they found a belt with 25 hunting ammunition, 23 hunting bullets, a TT pistol with one magazine with eight bullets, three magazines with eight bullets each, two holstered magazines, 28 bullets for long rifles, 10 combs with long rifle bullets (99 bullets), a box with 7×62 bullets, four gun cleaners, and a box with suspicious material.
At the third location, they found a long rifle with a bayonet, a pistol with two magazines with eight 7×62 bullets each and a holster, a black bag with gun cleaning equipment, two boxes with 50 7×62 bullets each, three holstered magazines with eight bullets each, and a long hunting rifle with a bag.
At the fourth location, they found a metal hedgehog, an inner bulletproof vest, 30 suspected TM 100 explosive devices, a uniform, a black bag with first aid equipment, and a radio communication adapter.
