Police Raid “Dunav Osiguranje” Office in North Mitrovica, One Person Detained

A police operation took place yesterday in the northern part of Mitrovica, where a raid was conducted at an office operating under the security company “Dunav.” One person was detained following the action.

According to the Kosovo Police’s 24-hour report, several items were confiscated during the raid, including two computer cases, a laptop, a seal, and various documents.

The police report stated that the suspect, a male Kosovar, was taken into custody for questioning. “In consultation with the prosecutor, the raid was conducted at a location where two computer cases, a laptop, a seal, and various documents were found and seized,” the report added.

Following the completion of the search, the office was closed, and after the interview, the suspect was released under regular procedure, according to the police report.

Veton Elshani, the Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the North region, explained to the online outlet Reporteri.net that the case has been opened for “Abuse of Economic Authorizations.”

“At around 11:30 AM, the Kosovo Police assisted the officials of the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK) in conducting a search at an office where ‘Dunav Insurance’ was operating. Following the search, in consultation with the Prosecutor, the case for Abuse of Economic Authorizations was opened,” Elshani said.
