Police Seize 10 kg of Marijuana in Prizren, Two Suspects Arrested

Two individuals have been arrested in Prizren on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking, the Kosovo Police confirmed.

According to the police, investigators from the Narcotics Trafficking Investigation Unit in Prizren identified the suspects as part of an ongoing case related to drug trafficking.

During the operation, authorities seized the following evidence:

  • 10.5 kg of suspected marijuana
  • A 7.62 mm firearm with a magazine containing eight rounds
  • Two locally registered vehicles
  • Three mobile phones

Further searches of a house and a business premises led to additional confiscations:

  • 874 grams of suspected marijuana
  • Four bullets
  • Two electronic scales
  • Two boxes of firearm cleaning equipment
  • One plastic foil
  • €3,965 in cash

The two arrested suspects have been identified as N.I. (born in 1985, male, Kosovar) and E.M. (born in 2000, male, Kosovar).

Police also reported that a third suspect, known to law enforcement, is believed to be involved in the case.

The suspects were interviewed in the presence of their attorneys and have been placed in 48-hour detention by the decision of the prosecutor on duty.
