Kosovo Police intervened in multiple separate incidents involving illegal possession and use of firearms overnight in Prishtina, Fushë Kosovë, and Gllogoc (Drenas).

In all cases, weapons and ammunition were confiscated, and suspects were processed according to prosecutorial decisions.

In Prishtina, near Rrethi i Flamurit, police stopped a locally registered vehicle driven by a male suspect during a checkpoint operation. A pistol with one magazine and 19 bullets was found and seized from the individual. The case is proceeding under regular legal procedures following the prosecutor’s order.

In Fushë Kosovë, a male suspect was arrested after reportedly firing a weapon during a family gathering. Police confiscated a gas pistol and one magazine. After questioning, the suspect was released under regular procedure by prosecutorial decision.

In a similar incident in Kishnarekë, Drenas, another suspect was taken to the police station after discharging a weapon at a family event. The suspect voluntarily surrendered the firearm, four cartridges, and one bullet, and was later released following interrogation under regular procedure.

Kosovo Police urge the public to avoid the use of firearms in public or private settings, especially during celebrations or gatherings, as such actions pose serious risks to the safety and lives of citizens.
