A serious technical issue has struck North Macedonia’s national police system, causing major disruptions at border crossings across the country, the Border Management Center announced today.

Due to the system failure, authorities temporarily suspended entry of vehicles into the country, resulting in long queues and significant delays at several border checkpoints.

To prevent a total blockade, North Macedonian officials have begun manually registering vehicles, pending restoration of the digital border control system.

“Manual registration has now begun, and double-check control has been reinstated until the North Macedonian system is fully restored,” stated the Border Management Center.

The center also confirmed long traffic lines across entry points and urged travelers to remain patient, promising real-time updates as the situation develops.
