The Regional Police Directorate in Pejë has issued a warning to citizens to exercise increased caution on the Pejë–Rugovë road due to the heightened risk of rockfalls.
According to the police, recent incidents along this route—causing property damage and injuries—have been aggravated by continuous rainfall, increasing the likelihood of further rockslides.
“Based on recent cases on this road, where material damage and personal injuries occurred due to persistent rainfall, the risk of rockfalls is higher. We ask citizens to be extra careful to prevent accidents. The police remain committed to ensuring the safety of all citizens and appeal for public cooperation,” the statement reads.
