The Kosovo Police have called on voters not to photograph or record their ballot papers, as such actions are legally prohibited and undermine the secrecy and integrity of the electoral process.
According to the Police, information has been received that some individuals, allegedly linked to the Serb List, may ask voters — including Serb voters — to document their vote inside the polling booth using phones or other devices. Authorities have stated that maximum efforts will be made to prevent and sanction such actions.
The Police also remind the public that in previous elections, many voters faced legal consequences for photographing their ballot, a practice that has been used to prove whether voters voted under pressure or according to someone else’s instructions.
Final appeal: Do not photograph your ballot — vote freely and secretly according to your own will.
