Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has warned that Europe must prepare for a possible Russian offensive, calling it “irresponsible” not to build strong drone defense systems on the continent’s eastern flank.

Sikorski urged European nations to maintain unwavering support for Ukraine, expressing hope that U.S. President Donald Trump will authorize the delivery of Tomahawk missiles to bolster Ukraine’s ability to strike Russian infrastructure.

He emphasized the urgent need for more ammunition, air defense systems, and short- and medium-range weapons to protect Europe, citing recent drone incidents over Poland and airspace violations in Estonia.

“Failing to develop robust defense capabilities against drones is an act of irresponsibility,” Sikorski stated.

The Polish foreign minister also highlighted the importance of sustained European backing for Ukraine over the next three years, noting that Ukrainian forces are planning their strategy carefully and that NATO must remain steadfast during this critical period.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed the notion of Moscow attacking any NATO member state, calling such speculation “impossible.”
