Polish KFOR soldiers, assigned to the Regional Command East, conducted a routine patrol in the north of Kosovo to, as KFOR stated, ensure freedom of movement and the general security of the area.

“These efforts are part of KFOR’s daily mission to ensure a safe environment for all communities living in Kosovo,” KFOR said.

NATO’s mission in Kosovo reiterated that it continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and in an impartial manner.

KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
