The Members of Parliament of Kosovo will meet again today in yet another attempt to constitute the Assembly, which remains blocked due to ongoing disagreements.
The process of constituting the Assembly has been held back by the failure to elect the Deputy Speaker from the Serbian community, even though the Speaker, the Albanian community deputy speakers, and the deputy speaker representing non-Serb minorities have already been elected.
A lot-drawing process has now begun to determine the election of the deputy speaker from the Serbian community.
During the last parliamentary session, MP Nenad Rašić failed to secure the required votes to be elected Deputy Speaker representing the Serbian community. Out of all present deputies, 55 voted in favor, 1 against, and 20 abstained.
The session is scheduled to begin today at 11:00 AM. The constitution of the Assembly will not be considered complete until all deputy speakers have been elected.
Once the Assembly is fully constituted, the process will continue toward the formation of the new Government.
