Polling stations at the Technical School in North Mitrovica opened at 7:00 a.m., and the first voters have already cast their ballots.
A resident of North Mitrovica, who had just voted, told Radio Free Europe briefly that she “wants change, above all the replacement of the Albanian mayors.”
This municipality, along with the other three Serb-majority municipalities in the north — Zvečan, Zubin Potok, and Leposaviq — has been led by Albanian mayors since 2023.
