Through a telegram signed by the Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Pope Francis expressed his condolences following the fire in a nightclub in North Macedonia, where 59 people, mostly young people, lost their lives.
The Pope expressed “deep condolences to the families of the victims” and his “spiritual closeness to the injured,” according to the telegram sent to the Bishop of Skopje, Kiro Stojanov.
