Prishtina, July 16, 2025 – The Kosovo Energy Distribution and Supply Company (KEDS) has reported major disruptions in the electricity supply across the country due to strong winds and heavy rainfall.
According to the official statement, over 40 power lines are currently out of service, affecting key regions including Peja, Mitrovica, Prishtina, Gjilan, and Ferizaj.
“Due to strong winds accompanied by rain, more than 40 power lines are currently out of function across Kosovo. The most affected areas include Peja, Mitrovica, Prishtina, Gjilan, and Ferizaj, leaving a considerable number of consumers without power,” the company said.
KEDS confirmed that technical teams are on the ground, working continuously to gradually repair damages and restore the electricity network.
The company has asked for patience and understanding from affected consumers while efforts are underway to normalize the situation.
