Slovenia has been struck by severe storms bringing heavy rainfall, strong winds, and hail, causing significant damage across several areas of the country.

According to foreign media reports, thousands of residents in parts of the capital, Ljubljana, have been left without electricity due to the extreme weather conditions.

In addition to power outages, strong winds have uprooted trees, damaged buildings, and disrupted traffic on major roads and highways.

The Slovenian Environment Agency has issued an orange alert for most of the country, warning of ongoing adverse weather conditions.

Authorities stated that the storm is expected to weaken after 9:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Croatia’s State Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) has warned that the storm system is moving southeast toward northern and central parts of Croatia. Citizens are advised to exercise caution due to the risk of hail, lightning, and sudden flash floods.
