Kosovo’s only astronomer, Pranvera Hyseni, has announced that she will be participating in one of the largest planetary science conferences in Houston, Texas, reports Gazeta Sinjali.

Hyseni stated that over 2,000 scientists and students from around the world will gather at this conference to share new scientific research.

“I just arrived in Houston, Texas, where I will attend one of the largest planetary science conferences, gathering over 2,000 scientists and students from around the world to share new scientific findings. After months of analyzing asteroid families from data collected through NASA’s Infrared Telescope Facility, I am thrilled to finally bring my research to the global stage from the peak of Mauna Kea. My presentation is on Thursday morning, titled: ‘Investigating The Distribution of Soluble Organic Matter Among Hydrated Asteroid Families,’” Hyseni wrote in her Facebook post.

Additionally, Hyseni announced that she will have a private visit to NASA’s Johnson Space Center on Wednesday.

“To make this experience even more special, on Wednesday I will have a private visit to NASA’s Johnson Space Center, as experiencing up close the place where human spaceflight missions are developed is always an extraordinary thrill! As the only representative from the Republic of Kosovo, it is a great honor to contribute to putting our country on the map of planetary science. Deeply grateful to my mentors, my family, and each of you for your support on this journey,” Hyseni added.
