Learta Hollaj, Chief of Staff for Vjosa Osmani, emphasized that President Osmani acted strictly according to the Constitution when issuing the decree to dissolve the Kuvendi i Kosovës.
“The President implemented what the Constitution requires. This was a constitutional duty, not a personal desire. She would have violated the Constitution had she not issued such a decree,” Hollaj stated.
Hollaj noted that accusations of “power blindness, monarchy, arbitrariness, and insults” reflect a lack of tolerance for differing constitutional interpretations. She reiterated that the President welcomes the decree being reviewed by the Gjykata Kushtetuese e Kosovës and will respect any decision issued.
“In a republic, zeal for the Constitution is a duty, not an ambition,” Hollaj concluded.
