Bekim Kupina, the media advisor to President Vjosa Osmani, stated that decisions regarding the certification of political parties should be collegial within the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Kupina explained that the decision-making procedures in the CEC are clearly defined by law, emphasizing that “Article 63.4 of the Law defines this as a collegial decision.”

“The decision-making procedures in the CEC are clearly outlined by law. Regarding the party certification process, Article 63.4 of the Law defines this as a collegial decision. Furthermore, the principles and rules set out in Article 14, which relate to this process, should also be taken into account. Adhering to these procedures is crucial to ensuring the constitutional and legal functioning of the CEC,” Kupina said to Klan.

On the last day of the past year, the Central Election Commission certified the Serbian List for the elections of February 9.

“The CEC has decided to certify the Serbian List. The decision of the PZAP is final. I consider this matter closed,” said the chairman of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi.
