The Assembly of Kosovo has announced that its constitutive session will continue tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11:00. The decision follows the publication of the full ruling of the Constitutional Court.

In response, the Presidency of Kosovo has urged for the swift formation of institutions, describing the matter as a “state emergency.”

“The Presidency considers the rapid establishment of institutions, emerging from the will of the people, a state emergency. At a time of dynamic developments across the continent and global challenges that also affect our region, the timely creation of new institutions in line with the Constitutional Court’s ruling is vital for stability, democratic representation, and addressing citizens’ interests,” the Presidency said.

The statement further stressed that delays so far have harmed not only the credibility of institutions and the country’s development, but also Kosovo’s progress on the international stage.

The Presidency called on all MPs to act responsibly, in a spirit of cooperation and trust, ensuring that the state moves forward in a consolidated manner and successfully tackles the crucial processes awaiting Kosovo, both domestically and internationally.
