Colombian President Gustavo Petro has made a serious accusation through a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), claiming that a group allegedly led by Albanian national Dritan Gjika, based in Abu Dhabi, attempted to organize an assassination plot against him.
“This is a drug trafficking cartel, headquartered in Abu Dhabi. They control a network of prosecutors and, through the CTI, the port of Buenaventura. They are responsible for the murder of Paraguayan prosecutor Pecci and have managed to cover up the perpetrators within the prosecution. They attempted an attack on me, but it failed,” Petro wrote.
