Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani participated in a high-level meeting of leaders from the Western Balkans and Croatia in New York, focusing on opportunities for economic cooperation with the Trump administration.
The roundtable, titled “US–Western Balkans Roundtable”, was attended by senior U.S. representatives, including Richard Grenell, Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions, Scot Bessent, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, and John Jovanovich, President of EXIM Bank.
Bekim Kupina, Media Advisor to President Osmani, confirmed the participation for KosovaPress.
“All six Western Balkans states, along with Croatia, were invited. President Osmani joined the second part of the meeting due to prior bilateral engagements. Each country presented its economic potential as a basis for cooperation with the Trump administration. No political discussions took place,” Kupina stated.
The meeting provided a platform for regional leaders to showcase investment opportunities and strengthen ties with the U.S., emphasizing economic partnership over politics.
