Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani has awarded German politician Michael Roth with the Presidential Medal of Merit in Berlin. The recognition was given in appreciation of Roth’s unwavering support for Kosovo’s European future.
Roth, the current chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the German Bundestag and former minister, has been a strong advocate for Kosovo’s integration into the European Union.
“As a steadfast defender of Kosovo’s future in the EU and a voice that has continuously reflected our aspirations on the international stage, I had the honor of awarding Michael Roth the Presidential Medal of Merit in Berlin—a token of gratitude from the people of Kosovo,” Osmani stated on Facebook.
She emphasized that Kosovo’s success has been strengthened by allies who believe in democracy, freedom, and Kosovo’s rightful place in the European family.
“Over 27 years of political engagement, Michael Roth has worked tirelessly to bring our two countries closer and deepen bilateral cooperation. Thank you, Mr. Roth, for your unwavering dedication,” Osmani concluded.
