Today marks the 27th anniversary of the death of Commander Ismet Jashari – Kumanova, one of the most emblematic figures of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, through a Facebook post, honored Jashari’s memory with pride and respect, describing him as an indomitable commander and an enduring inspiration for future generations.
“Ismet Jashari is a symbol of sacrifice and bravery for the freedom of Kosovo, an eternal hero of our nation,” Osmani emphasized.
The presidency’s statement further noted: “On this anniversary, we also honor all the martyrs of the 121st Brigade of the Pashtrik Operational Zone, who, through their blood and sacrifice, have written the most glorious pages of our national history.”
