On February 28, 1998, the genocidal regime of Milošević committed one of the gravest acts of state terrorism, brutally killing 24 inhabitants of Likoshan and Qirez, in the heart of resistance, in Drenica.
Where pain and courage intertwined, the sons and daughters of the KLA made the greatest sacrifice for the liberation of Kosovo. Therefore, on this 27th anniversary, we honor with deep respect those who fell for freedom.
The massacre in Likoshan and Qirez remains a testimony of the brutality inflicted upon our people, but also a moment when the determination for freedom became unbreakable.
The memory of the martyrs remains alive, and their legacy obliges us to continue the search for justice!
