Kosovo and the United Kingdom have reached an agreement in the field of immigration, confirmed by Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani.

Today, Osmani met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss cooperation in security and the newly reached immigration agreement.

“Cooperation in security and defense, as well as the recently reached agreement between our two countries on immigration, were the focus of my discussion with Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Kosovo is grateful for the unwavering support of the United Kingdom,” President Osmani wrote on Facebook.

Earlier reports indicated that the UK aims to reach agreements with Kosovo, Serbia, and North Macedonia to combat human trafficking.

British media outlet The Independent had reported on this during Prime Minister Starmer’s participation in the European Political Community summit in Hungary.

The UK government had announced that these agreements aim to increase information and expertise exchange to combat trafficking criminal networks.
