The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, encountered an unusual situation today at Skopje Airport.
As Osmani was preparing for an international trip from Skopje Airport, the airport security attempted to open the President’s suitcase, an action which Osmani did not tolerate.
Sources indicate that the President contacted the Speaker of the Assembly of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, regarding the situation.
Upon receiving the information, Gashi dispatched his security team to the airport to clarify the situation.
Sources from Indeksonline report that there was a verbal confrontation between Gashi’s security and the airport security, and at one point, both sides drew their weapons.
After more than an hour of delay, the President continued her journey, having faced an unexpectedly intense situation.
