President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, concluded an official visit to Latvia, where she held a series of high-level meetings focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, enhancing security partnerships, and reflecting on shared histories of resistance and resilience.

During her visit to Riga, President Osmani toured the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence (STRATCOM COE)—a key institution in countering hybrid threats and safeguarding information integrity. She emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to deepening cooperation in cybersecurity and strategic communication, underlining these efforts as part of Kosovo’s broader ambition to join the North Atlantic Alliance.

“We discussed expanding our collaboration in building cybersecurity and strategic communications capacities, as part of Kosovo’s journey toward NATO membership,” Osmani stated.

The President also engaged in dialogue with Latvian women leaders and civil society activists, where she shared Kosovo’s experience as a post-war society advancing with women at the core of every democratic and security process.

“Like Kosovo, Latvia endured through resistance and national pride. Our collective memory is our strength—to never forget our proud past and to build a just and secure future,” she said.

Osmani concluded her visit at the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia, describing it as a moment of deep reflection on the shared historical struggles against occupation and injustice.

In a social media post following the visit, Osmani reaffirmed that Kosovo remains a reliable ally in the defense of democratic values, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to strengthen ties with Latvia—a country with a parallel history of resilience and Euro-Atlantic integration.
