Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani participated in the European Forum Alpbach in Austria, where she emphasized Kosovo’s role as an active contributor to peace and security.

In a statement shared on Facebook, Osmani said discussions at the forum focused on Kosovo’s contribution to stability, the importance of transatlantic cooperation, and the need for Europe to return to its strongest foundation – the defense of democratic values.

“We discussed Kosovo’s role as an active contributor to peace and security, the importance of transatlantic cooperation, and the return of Europe to its greatest strength: defending democratic values. Not only in words, but in action. With the courage to stand with those who protect these values and to open the doors to Kosovo and other states committed to them,” Osmani wrote.

She added that the forum was particularly inspiring due to the exchange of ideas with young people who, she said, “will be Europe’s future leaders.”

The European Forum Alpbach gathers policymakers, academics, and civil society representatives from across Europe to address current global and regional challenges, with this year’s focus placed on security and democratic resilience.
