Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, paid tribute at the Prekaz Memorial Complex today before being received at the Jashari Tower, where she met Rifat Jashari.
During her visit, Osmani emphasized the unwavering spirit of the legendary commander Adem Jashari and his family, who, in the darkest times, ignited the light of hope.
“Today, as always, I pay tribute at the Prekaz Memorial Complex and visit the Jashari Tower to meet Baca Rifat. From the first bullet to the heroic resistance of March 1998, Commander Adem Jashari and the Jashari family never wavered, never retreated, but embraced immortality. Even today, they remain a guiding light for our path forward,” Osmani declared.
She highlighted their role in shaping Kosovo’s destiny, stating that their resilience and sacrifice became the shield and heart of the nation.
“In the darkest times, they lit the flame of hope. In the greatest challenges, they found the strength to move forward. In the moments when Kosovo’s freedom and future were in question, they became the answer, the shield, and the heart of this land. Glory to the Jashari family! Glory to all the heroes of the KLA!” Osmani concluded.
