President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has officially mandated Albin Kurti to form the new government, Reporteri.net reports.
The mandate decree was handed to Kurti by the President just minutes ago. Following the receipt of the mandate, Kurti left the Presidential Office heading to the Assembly hall.
The parliamentary session to formally establish Kurti’s third government (Kurti 3) is scheduled to take place tonight, though the exact time has not yet been confirmed.
Earlier today, the Constitutive Session of the Kosovo Assembly was held. During this session:
- Albulena Haxhiu was elected Speaker of the Assembly
- Ardian Gola, Vlora Çitaku, Kujtim Shala, Slavko Simiq, and Emilija Rexhepi were elected Deputy Speakers
Following the Assembly’s constitution, Speaker Haxhiu called on all Members of Parliament to remain in the building for the upcoming session to ensure the smooth voting process for the new government.
This marks a key step in Kosovo’s institutional process, paving the way for the establishment of a new executive leadership in line with the mandate from the December 28, 2025 elections.
