President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met today with the British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, to discuss recent developments in the country and the upcoming early elections scheduled for 28 December 2025.
According to the official statement, President Osmani emphasized the importance of conducting the elections according to the highest democratic standards, reinforcing Kosovo’s role as an example in the region.
The discussion also covered the next steps in finalizing President Osmani’s initiative to establish strategic agreements with the United Kingdom in areas of mutual interest, including defense, security, and economic and trade cooperation. These initiatives were initially agreed upon during the visit of the UK Foreign Secretary to Kosovo in April 2025.
President Osmani also expressed her gratitude for the continued support of the United Kingdom for Kosovo and its citizens.
