President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, did not attend the dinner with world leaders at the Peace Forum in Paris, despite being invited by French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to Bekim Kupina, media advisor to the President, Osmani’s absence was due to a trilateral meeting with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia and the President of Syria, during which a historic agreement was reached for Syria to recognize Kosovo’s independence.

Kupina stated that President Osmani and the First Gentleman remain grateful to President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron for the invitation and their continued support.

With this agreement, Kosovo is now officially recognized by 120 countries, marking a significant milestone in the country’s international diplomatic efforts.
