President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has officially departed for Japan on a bilateral visit aimed at strengthening Kosovo–Japan relations.
During her official stay in Tokyo, President Osmani will be received in an audience by His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan. She will also hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, where discussions will focus on deepening political and economic ties between the two countries. Additionally, she will meet with Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Fukushiro Nukaga.
Beyond Tokyo, President Osmani will participate in Kosovo Day at Expo 2025 in Osaka. She will be welcomed by Minister Naoki Okada, in charge of Expo Osaka 2025, and will deliver the keynote address on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo. She will also visit Kosovo’s Pavilion and attend a special concert by the Kosovo Philharmonic Orchestra marking the occasion.
In Tokyo, the President will also co-host a business forum alongside a delegation of Kosovo business representatives, joined by Japanese companies. The goal is to promote investment opportunities in Kosovo and boost bilateral economic cooperation.
Furthermore, she will meet with Mr. Tanaka Akihiko, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to explore further development collaboration. As part of her official agenda, President Osmani will engage in a discussion with students at Sophia University and take part in several activities aimed at further affirming and deepening ties between Kosovo and Japan.
