President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has shared a letter of gratitude she received two days ago from U.S. President Donald Trump, thanking Kosovo for its willingness to accept 50 migrants from the United States.

In a Facebook post, President Osmani expressed her appreciation for the gesture and reaffirmed the importance of the strong relationship between Kosovo and the U.S.

“Kosovo will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the United States in every challenge and every success,” she wrote. “I remain committed to working with President Trump to deepen our alliance further in the years ahead,” Osmani added, posting a photo of the letter.

In the letter, President Trump commended Kosovo for its readiness to accept the migrants, calling it a powerful demonstration of close cooperation between the two nations.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude for your extraordinary support in accepting citizens outside your country — an action that demonstrates Kosovo’s strong commitment to cooperation with the United States,” Trump wrote.
“Your leadership on this issue is a testament to the strength and compassion of the people of Kosovo.”

Trump’s letter further emphasized the enduring bond between the two countries:

“The United States and Kosovo share a deep connection built on mutual respect, shared democratic values, and a vision for a peaceful and prosperous future. Your commitment to strengthening this partnership has not gone unnoticed, and I am confident that together we will continue to advance our common goals.”

He concluded by thanking Osmani for her brave leadership and describing her as a true friend of the United States, adding:

“I look forward to working closely with you in the years to come. The First Lady joins me in sending our best wishes.”
