President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has congratulated Albulena Haxhiu on her election as Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, as well as the newly elected deputy speakers.
President Osmani expressed her hope that the new mandate will be marked by significant state decisions, high democratic culture, and unwavering commitment to serving the citizens and the Republic of Kosovo.
In her statement, President Osmani said:
“I congratulate Ms. Albulena Haxhiu on her election as Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the deputy speakers of the Assembly, for the responsibility entrusted to them by the representatives elected by our citizens. The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo is the foundation of our parliamentary democracy and the institution where the will of the citizens is realized. I firmly believe that the new leadership of the Assembly will exercise this mandate with democratic responsibility, respecting the Constitution and with dedication to the interests of the Republic of Kosovo.”
She further emphasized the need for constructive inter-institutional cooperation and the full functioning of the Assembly, in service of strengthening the rule of law, democratic stability, protection of state and historical values, and advancing the Euro-Atlantic agenda.
“I hope this mandate will be distinguished by important state decisions, high democratic culture, and unwavering engagement in the service of our citizens and the Republic. Wishing you success in your high state office,“ President Osmani concluded.
