Prime Minister Kurti Meets Finnish Foreign Affairs Chief, Discusses Kosovo’s Membership in International Organizations

Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with Johannes Koskinen, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Finland, to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of shared interest.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti highlighted Kosovo’s democratic progress and economic growth achieved under his government’s current mandate. He emphasized Kosovo’s strong commitment to implementing reforms within the European agenda, advancing the EU Growth Plan, and deepening European integration over the past four years.

Kurti expressed appreciation to Finland for its consistent support of Kosovo’s international position, particularly regarding membership in international organizations.

He reaffirmed Kosovo’s strategic goal of joining the European Union and NATO, and commended Finland’s continued backing of Kosovo’s efforts to become a member of the Council of Europe.

The discussion reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to closer political, economic, and institutional cooperation, underscoring Finland’s role as a steadfast partner in Kosovo’s European path.
