Due to the year-end holiday season, Prishtina International Airport is experiencing a significant increase in passenger traffic.
According to airport spokesperson Valentina Gara, approximately 400 flights (round trips) are scheduled from tomorrow until the end of the year. Gara emphasized that passenger numbers have continued to rise in recent months.
“Due to the holiday season, we have an increased flight volume, and until the end of the year, around 400 flights are expected. Passenger numbers have steadily increased over the past months,” Gara stated.
For December alone, about 300,000 passengers have been registered, reflecting the growing interest in flights to and from Kosovo. The highest passenger traffic this year was recorded in August, with over 500,000 travelers.
Gara also highlighted a historic milestone for the airport. Last year, Prishtina International Airport reached 4 million passengers for the first time, a remarkable achievement that strengthens its role in Kosovo’s aviation sector.
“Last year, we reached 4 million passengers for the first time, and we expect to close 2025 with around 4.6 million,” Gara added.
